Purpose of SMC is to provide sustainability in forum, aligned to its aims and objectives, it will server custodian of the forum and safeguard forum interests. SMC consist of

  • · Function of SMC will be to provide strategic direction to the forum
  • · Monitor and evaluate SIGs and CGs performance
  • · Funds generation and utilization
  • · Meet quarterly (or earlier if needed) to see performance, value addition and sense of direction Forum
  • · Objectives and outcomes are not jeopardized while moving forward with vision of Forum.

Secretariat:

§ CG members will supervise the Admin Officer / Secretary of the LHRF, coaching and guiding him/her to keep track of the management of the forum including the information flow and the feedback.

§ All purchases on behalf of the forum will be done through a specific purchase procedure i.e. getting the quotations, finalizing the first lowest in most of the cases, not compromising the quality of the material to be purchased.

§ All the purchased items will be under the custody of the Admin Officer / Secretary of LHRF.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of Coordination Group (CG)

Composition:

§ Five members working on volunteer basis; two senior members to be selected/nominated by the senior management counsel (SMC) in consultation with the working coordination group and rest of the three to be selected by the nominated members in the new CG.

§ Two nominated members are expected to exercise leadership skills to add value to the HR community at local, national and international level.

§ Selection of three junior volunteers would be done by the nominated members on the basis of knowledge, skill, attitude and willingness to contribute to the target audience.

§ Clear allocation of responsibilities is required to convert the coordination group into a Team. Please remember, leaders will have to say what they do and do what they say.

Value Addition:

§ CG members will have to keep in mind the four major pillars of Lahore HR Forum (LHRF)

o Networking

o Sharing best practices

o Benchmarks

o Research in the area of HR (HRMJC)

§ CG members will develop the short-term and long-term vision for their tenure in consultation with the SMC and the previous CG to move forward.

Accounts Management

§ CG will be responsible for the management of accounts of LHRF after passing through the audit committee of the previous CG.

§ All the cheques presented to the bank are to be signed by at two senior members of the LHRF (Four signatures are already authorized for the same).

§ Cheque book will be under the custody of the senior member of CG (Coordinator of the CG). All cheques will be issued after the consent of members of CG.

 

1. Membership:

§ Data of registered members and the mailing list will be handled by the Admin Officer / Secretary. A copy of that data will also be given to the two nominated members of the CG.

§ CG will be responsible to increase the registered members of the forum and will also mobilize funds through innovative value adding activities for the members/non-members of the forum.

§ CG will focus not only on individual memberships, but also on corporate memberships by involving them during the activities and transferring the ownership of the concept to the real target audience.

2. Partnership with the Universities:

§ CG will conduct session with the selected universities on the basis of criteria of partnership with the universities and will issue honorary membership to the two representatives of the selected universities and five selected students to spread the message.

3. SIGs:

§ CG will help to keep the Special Interest Groups (SIGs) alive to add value to the major areas of intervention under the heading of HR involving the volunteers for this exercise.

4. Website:

 

§ CG will facilitate the up-gradation and content management of the website of LHRF.

§ Content management of the website will be done by the Admin Officer / Secretary in consultation with the members of CG and SMC (optional).

5. Feedback:

§ CG will get feedback through emails and website to align the activities according the requirements of the target audience.

§ CG will develop a theme and sequence of the activities for the forum and identify the top notch speakers accordingly for the monthly sessions of the forum.

6. Upcoming CG – Transfer of Ownership:

§ CG will help in the selection of nominated members for the upcoming CG and will also facilitate the process of transfer of coordination to the new group to run the LHRF smoothly.

7. Case Studies for HRMJC:

§ CG will also help in getting the HR related case studies and publish them (at least 10 per quarterly issue) during their tenure in collaboration with the SIG (R&D). We are expecting three issues of HR Management Journal of Cases of Pakistan (HRMJC).

8. Integrity of LHRF:

§ CG will keep the integrity of the forum and make the forum membership a pride for the professionals, who have taken the initiative to be part of this prestigious platform.
